When using Ronseal's 3-in-1 Basecoat, ensure your room is above 10°C and well-ventilated by opening a window. Cold weather can impede the drying process, so it's crucial to maintain the right conditions. Protect any areas you don't want to get paint on, and prepare the surface by sanding away any loose paint or plaster. Wipe the area with a damp cloth to ensure it’s clean and dust-free.

Before application, give the basecoat a thorough stir. Use a roller or brush to apply it evenly. The basecoat will be touch dry in just 2 hours, and for dramatic colour changes, additional coats may be necessary. After 4 hours, the surface will be ready for you to paint over, allowing you to proceed with your project efficiently.
