The K109  Blue Engineering Brick made by Ibstock is a solid brick that combines both high strength and low water absorption and is classified only by these properties, these physical qualities make them a stronger and more durable brick type. This smooth brick is precise, square-edged, and solid, and the guaranteed durability of engineering bricks makes them ideal. Blue brick has a smooth texture. It is made of clay, which makes the brick solid and long-lasting. Engineering bricks are specified for their physical characteristics and not their appearance. 

This brick has a dense and semi-vitreous body that can help the product withstand severe exposure to different weather conditions. Their use for facing work should be avoided, as they are not subject to the same level of inspection for surface irregularities or colour variation as facing brick.
