Product Information

HMG Thinner 2642 is a medium-slow, solvent-based thinner designed for use with cellulose-based HMG coating systems. It is used to adjust the viscosity of compatible cellulose paints and coatings for easier application, improved flow, and the correct finish where HMG specifies Thinner 2642 in the relevant product datasheet. HMG lists the product code as TNR2642 and describes it as a medium-slow thinner for cellulose-based systems.

It is commonly associated with HMG cellulose products such as Industrial Cellulose, M99 Cellulose, and Cellulose APS Primer. Bailey Paints also identifies HMG 2642 as a solvent-based thinner and lists it as particularly suitable for M99 Cellulose.

Use good ventilation, keep away from ignition sources, and wear suitable eye protection, solvent-resistant gloves, and any respiratory protection required by the SDS or site risk assessment.
