Before you start, ensure that all surfaces are clean, dry, and free from any surface coatings such as paint, varnish, or stain. If your timber is suffering from decay, remove all decayed wood and replace it with sound, treated timber. It's crucial to cut out and burn all decayed wood at least 45cm beyond the area of damage to prevent further deterioration. With these preparations, Ronseal Shed and Fence Preserver will provide optimal results.
