Installation

The H350R board is easy to cut and easier to install. You firstly need to install a solid waterproofing system on the roof as roofs are in direct contact with moisture. The first thing you need to do is cover the boards nicely with a non-woven polyethylene. This needs to be sealed properly under the flashing.

Now, we see how to install a single layer of insulation. The trick is simple, either install the board diagonally or install them with longer edges (length) positioned at right angle (90 degrees) to each other. And if you plan to install two or more layers, the process will be the same but you just need to check that the joint of the board do not coincide with other layers.

You ballast layer should be at least 50mm deep with a diameter of about 20-40mm and its installation should be done as fast as possible if you wish to go for paving slab ballast. You must have adequate knowledge about all types of insulation methods so as to decide wisely which method will suit you and your building the best.

Before finalising the thickness of the board you can make calculations there is a ‘U-value calculator’ with which you can finalize according to your satisfaction. There is no compulsory measurements you have to use for you house insulation. The number of layers, thickness of each layers, all depends on how much insulation you wish to have in your building.
