Measuring Your Space For Bifold Doors

The first step is finding the right size bi-fold door widths where you plan to install them. There are two main measurements you will need: width and height. When measuring width of bifold doors, make sure that you measure from one end of the opening to the other rather than adding a few extra inches on either side—this will ensure that your bifold door fits correctly. For height, measure from the top of the opening down to the floor or where it meets another surface such as a staircase or hallway wall.  Once you have these measurements, subtract 16” from each measurement.
