The Earthwool Dritherm insulation cavity slabs are semi-rigid slabs that are water repellent, non-combustible and are made up of glass mineral wool. These measure a width of 455mm that suits the vertical wall tie spacing and ensure a closed joint of adjacent slabs. These come with a thermal conductivity which ranges from 0.032 to 0.037 W/mK. The Earthwool Dritherm cavity slabs are classified as Euroclass A1 to BS EN 13501-1.
Applications: The Earthwool Dritherm cavity slabs are used for the thermal insulation of masonry cavities in external walls and are installed to completely fill the cavities. These have been approved to be used in building that range up a height of 12m in all types of exposure zones. These are also used in multi-storey applications up to 25m in height. The slabs are constructed in accordance with BS EN 13162, EN 16001 energy management systems, safety management systems and occupational health, ISO 14001 environmental management systems and ISO 9001 quality management systems that are certified by the bureau veritas.
Environmental Friendly: The Earthwool Dritherm cavity slabs possess no threat to the environment and have zero ozone depletion potential and zero global warming potential. These are made up of ECOSE technology which is bio based and free of formaldehyde. It is based on renewable materials instead of petro-chemicals. It is great at reducing embodied energy and delivers great environmental sustainability. The technology is especially developed for Knauf insulation’s products made up of glass and rock mineral wool. This technology enhances the environmental credentials without affecting its thermal, fire and acoustic performance. The insulations are made up of ECOSE technology which contains no dye or artificial color. The colors used in the process are completely natural.
Durable and Efficient: The Earthwool Dritherm cavities slabs are rot proof, colorless, non-hygroscopic and do not sustain vermin. These completely discourage the growth of mould, bacteria and fungi.
