Eco-UFH - Underfloor Heating Insulation
Eco-UFH underfloor heating insulation boards are designed specifically for insulating screeded underfloor heating systems. Easy to lay underfloor insulation provides a fast and secure method of installing underfloor heating water pipes.
The board has a protected, supported aluminum foil on both sides and printed with a grid to assist with the layout of underfloor heating systems with no requirement for a polythene overlay.
Suitable for use in conjunction with screeded underfloor heating systems for new build or upgrading the thermal performance of existing floors Eco-UFH provide a cost effective means of reducing CO2 emissions and compliance with Building Regulations/Standards.
It saves energy and heating running costs by distributing the heat (upwards) evenly via the foil facing, and because of its low thermal conductivity it is significantly thinner than conventional EPS foam systems. This saves money for installers not having to dig so deep whilst providing the best thermal performance.
Equally suitable for housing and for schools, hospitals, sports halls, commercial or industrial applications. It has inherent resistance to alkali attack and is a high performance insulation suitable for use with most screeded underfloor heating systems. The tough woven grid gives a visual guide to enable installers to lay the pipes quickly and the line grid system measures at 50mm intervals enabling any pipe centres to be chosen easily.
EcoTherm Eco-UFH comprises a fibre free rigid polyisocyanurate (PIR) insulation core faced with a tough woven aluminium foil composite with printed grid on both sides.
The thermal conductivity (lambda / λ value) of Eco-UFH is 0.022W/mK
The typical compressive strength of Eco-UFH is 150 kPa when tested at 10% compression to BS EN 826: 1996 Thermal Insulating Products for Building Applications – Determination of Compression Behaviour.
